Product Life-Cycle Management Engineering Leader

Your role and responsibilities

The PCBA lifecycle engineering, as part of System Drive's Product Lifecycle located in Turgi, Switzerland is responsible of most of our Medium-Voltage Converter printed circuit board assemblies from the start of mass production until end of life.In this role, you will be managing the team of engineers who are responsible for our important control hardware PCBA portfolio to ensure manufacturability, quality and reliability by implementing improvements for our new developments, the active product business and as well service demands.You will be mainly accountable for:• Defining operating guidelines for the team and ensures their implementation and oversees progress within their own area of responsibility and identifies and manages technical issues.• Supporting the personal development of individual team members • Participating in defining the annual budget for their own area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints.• Guiding the team in building engineering / operational capability through training, mentoring, and shadowing programs.• Ensuring that appropriate processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences and facilitates the sharing of best practices within the Engineering team.• Making sure that the lifecycle management activities of our PCBA portfolio are taken care of• Guaranteeing efficient processes in PCBA Product Engineering including component engineering with 2nd source and obsolesce management and PCBA Supply Chain Engineering incl. management of tester (FCT).• Maintaining and developing collaboration with global teams.• Ensuring healthy and safe working within the team through adherence of HSE standards

Qualifications for the role
 

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with product development, and/or manufacturing of PCBAs
• Ideally first experience in leading small engineering teams
• Experience in PCBA Design and/or component engineering
• Recognized as a team player with strong organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated capability to work in a cross-cultural global environment
• Fluency in English is required, German is advantageous
