We value your insights and expertise, whether you're building on your past experiences or expanding your horizons with us as a specialist or product expert.This position reports to the Power Electronics Engineering Manager and is Grade 13 rated.Your responsibilities in brief:• Work on engineering traction power electronics systems, energy storage systems, and auxiliary systems, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into vehicles, considering customer needs, relevant standards, and internal specs.• Specify, carry out, document, and evaluate Type and Qualification tests.• Team up with suppliers to specify components and define technical requirements.• Help shape traction product families by driving standardization, improvements, and maintenance efforts.• Become a specialist in our core components, supporting your colleagues and independently optimizing our design processes and customer solutions, whether working solo or with specialist teams.
Qualifications for the role
- A Power Electronics/Electrical Engineer with minimum 5 years of experience in power electronics engineering or design.
- Someone who loves learning, is curious, and shares knowledge to support team development.
- A team player who enjoys solving complex challenges and takes ownership of their work.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. German skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
