Project Manager - Rail (80 – 100%)

In this role, you will oversee the execution of rail traction substations and major electrical distribution projects. You will lead project teams in establishing the execution approach, overseeing hand-over, planning, monitoring and controlling activities. You will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project life cycle. You will be working with Low voltage and medium voltage AC and DC products such as rectifiers, disconnectors, voltage limiting device, switchgears, energy storage systems and e-Houses in the Electrification business area in a global role.
Your responsibilities
- Managing the development of project planning documents
- Monitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Analyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned.
- Working with other functions to coordinate contract negotiations and claims with customers.
- Achieving project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements
- Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Your background
- 5-7 years of experience in project management, working as project manager for electrical distributions projects with at least 5 years in the railway industry.
- Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractors.
- Sound knowledge of DC switchgear, transformers and electrical distribution products.
- Knowledge of SAP, MS Projects, Primavera, MS Office applications
- A collaborative, team player with a solution-focused approach
- A PMP certification, business or engineering degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skill in English, and French or German
- Work location in Baden or Geneva, Switzerland
