As a Mechanical Engineer in Traction, you are responsible for the mechanical design of converters, energy storage systems and cooling units for railway and heavy on or off-road applications. The products are used worldwide in rail vehicles, e-buses and e-trucks or construction machines. To strengthen this motivated team, we are looking for a committed and experienced mechanical design technician with interest in power electronics.

Engineering Manager
Your responsibilities
- In your position, you will be responsible for the mechanical engineering and design of converters, energy storage systems and cooling units
- Maintain product data in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and SAP
- Performance of validation tests for cooling and strength requirements
- You will also support the production department in the introduction of new products, maintain the product range and implement corrections and improvements
- You are responsible for the creation of specifications and clarification of technical questions with suppliers
- Last but not least, you will assist the sales department during the concept and quotation phase
Your background
- Trained and experienced design engineer with further technical school (TS)
- Solid English skills, German is an advantage
- Experience with CAD and ERP applications, preferably Creo, PTC Windchill and SAP
- Team player
- Independent and committed
- Ideally with experience in the design of power electronic equipment or battery packs on rolling stock, automotive or other vehicles
