In this position you will define, deploy, and lead the Quality and Continuous Improvement strategy including quality culture, systems, tools, processes and competent teams with the aim to achieve and even exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations to grow our Digital Business Line within the Process Industries Division. You will be driving all the quality aspects of Digital Business through the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and long-term solutions to the problems.The location of the role is flexible with a preference for Europe.

Your responsibilities

  • Build the Quality and Continuous Improvement framework with collaboration of regional units, Business Process Owners and Digital Partners to ensure that digital solutions and technologies are aligned and successfully implemented with the highest standards of compliance and integrity to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide full product lifecycle quality oversight including all pre-production (i.e., Plan, Design, Validation and Releases) and post-production (i.e., availability management, problem management, change control, etc.) for the Business Line's digital projects and software applications.
  • Promote and implement a strong Quality culture to ensure business and technology teams adopt a quality mindset and follow the industry/regulatory requirements and expectations and industry best practices.
  • Leads/participates in project teams in analyzing process gaps and quality issues, identifies improvements, supports implementation, and secures consolidation within the business line. Makes the improvement proposals measurable. Ensures process and quality improvement proposals are based on analyses of measured data, and are fact based.
  • Ensure fast issue resolution of installed based solutions to ensure customer business continuity while avoiding high warranty cost.
  • Promote and support the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) culture, being the sponsor and the driver for the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma (L6S) methodologies as systematic problem-solving solutions.


Your background

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related technical field; further studies in Business Administration would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 10+ years' experience in the IT / software industry with focus on industrial digitalization and deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends
  • Proven experience in defining, deploying, and leading the Quality and Continuous Improvement strategy for a complex global software organization, ideally in B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation)
  • Practical knowhow of best modern software quality assurance, deployment and service practices such as Agile, SecDevOps, SSDLC, OWAPS SAMM, CMMI, ISO12207, ITIL or equivalent
  • Knowledge of industrial solutions and applications e.g., Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Process Historians, Automation Systems, APC and Asset Performance Management.
  • Clear understanding of industrial enterprise architecture and technology, data integration and interfacing across distributed control and information systems including Automation, ERP, LIMS, CMMS, Planning & Scheduling etc, Cloud and Edge environments.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Excellent networking skills matured in a highly international organization, "leading by influence"
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Availability to travel internationally as required
