As Senior Project Engineer for DCS Simulation & Modelling, you will be responsible for developments for the simulation environment and process modelling, supporting efficient validation of control solutions and delivering effective customer simulators that set the power industry standard.
You bring years of practical experience, deep technical knowledge, and a sharp sense for what works.

The work model for the role is: LI-hybrid

This role is contributing to the Energy Industries Division at ABB Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Taking ownership to realize customer tailored simulation solutions, meeting technical requirements, scope and on-time delivery for medium to high complexity projects in power generation market 
• Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seek feedback, and innovate with them to drive and deliver improvements
• Assisting project managers in scope control, risk and opportunity assessments, and implementing improvement and mitigation actions. Additionally, support technical solution development for new sales proposals, from concept through cost analysis and deliverables definition
• Developing and reviewing standard processes, tools and techniques while ensuring that engineering activities comply with regulations and contractual requirements.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical or mechanical engineering or in a related technical field
• 5+ years of professional experience in development and realization of training/validation simulation environments including process and thermodynamic modelling for combined cycle power plant or district heating networks 
• Solid knowledge in of 3KeyMaster or comparable simulation environment technology
• Sound knowledge of large-scale process automation DCS Systems as ABB 800xA or comparable
• Broad knowledge in current engineering practices and codes and standards in the automation field 
• A focused, collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with solid written and spoken communication skills.
• Business fluent in German and English.
