Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key part in the procurement and inventory team in Turgi, ensuring the timely and efficient purchase of materials. Each day, you will support the business by aligning purchasing activities with corporate policies and procedures while providing valuable market insights. Additionally, you will contribute to optimizing the supply chain by identifying new suppliers in collaboration with the relevant category team.

The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-hybrid

This role is contributing to the division Motion System Drives in Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Purchasing materials (stock, customer-specific, project) based on technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms while managing inventory according to defined strategies and targets

• Initiating and managing the procure-to-pay process, including purchase orders, supplier alignment, and adherence to standard procedures

• Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time, order confirmation response) and resolving any performance issues

• Cooperating closely with stakeholders (strategic procurement, production, project management) to ensure alignment with customer requirements in terms of quality, delivery, sustainability, and price

Qualifications for the role

• You have a background in a production-related environment, with further training in business administration being an advantage.

• You bring at least 3 years of experience in operational procurement, working as a Buyer with electrical and mechanical products.

• You are highly skilled in enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures, ensuring efficiency in procurement processes.

• You possess advanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, making you proficient in managing procurement operations.

• You are passionate about collaboration and problem-solving, with strong written and spoken communication skills.

• You are at ease communicating in fluent German and upper-intermediate English.
